2010 FET Environmental Scholarships Awarded

The Federation of Environmental Technologists continues the fine tradition of offering Scholarships to students pursuing a degree in an Environmental Field related to the management and prevention of air, water, and solid/hazardous waste pollution.   Four Scholarships were awarded this year.

2010 FET Scholarship recipients attended the Conference Luncheon on October 26th to be honored and receive their checks. A total of $4,700 in Scholarships was given this year, thanks to the generosity of Scholarship donors, the annual Silent Auction held at the Conference, and the annual summer FET Golf Outing.

Pictured from left are Scholarship Chair Mary Recktenwalt; Lewis Vieth, UW Stevens Point and winner of the Alan Haase Memorial Scholarship; Kristin Schurk, MATC; and Ben Vondra of UW-Madison. A fourth 2010 recipient, Audrey Mohr of UW-Eau Claire, winner of the Gene Matsumoto Memorial Scholarship, was unable to attend.

The four recipients are now student members of FET ~ Congratulations!

Donations to the Scholarship Fund are accepted throughout the year.   For more information, contact the FET Office at 262-437-1700.

Congratulations to all the Recipients, and a big Thank You to the generous donors to the FET Scholarship Fund who made this year’s awards possible.
