2007 FET Environmental Scholarships Awarded

 

The Federation of Environmental Technologists continues the fine tradition of offering Scholarships to students pursuing a degree in an Environmental Field related to the management and prevention of air, water, and solid/hazardous waste pollution.   Four $500 Scholarships were given at our annual Environment Conference in March.  The recipients were:

Anna Baker, University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire

Undergraduate Major:  Geology with Environmental Science Minor

Tucker R. Burch, University of Wisconsin—Green Bay

Undergraduate Major:  Pre-Engineering/Environmental Science

Joe Kottwitz, University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point

Undergraduate Major:  Resource Management-Land Use Planning with Soil Science Minor
 

The 2007 Gene Matsumoto Memorial Scholarship is Awarded To:

Cale T. Anger, University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire

Undergraduate Field of Study:  Hydrogeology and Geographical Information Science

 

Mary Recktenwalt, P.E., CHMM, of Symbiont chaired the FET Scholarship Committee.  She acknowledged the donors and the Scholarship Committee members.  A silent auction was also held at the conference to benefit the Scholarship fund, with over $500 being raised for next year’s scholarship fund.
